How can we help?
Type what went wrong and the most likely answers open straight away. Most problems are solved here in under a minute.
Do the tools work in the free version of DaVinci Resolve?
No. Since Resolve 19.1, Blackmagic only lets scripts open their own window in DaVinci Resolve Studio. Every Krispy Tools script has a window, so you need Studio 19.1 or newer.
If you are not sure which version you have, open DaVinci Resolve > About DaVinci Resolve. Studio says "Studio" in the title.
How do I install a tool?
Unzip the download. Copy the .lua file (and any folder that came with it) into Resolve's Utility scripts folder:
Windows: %APPDATA%\Blackmagic Design\DaVinci Resolve\Support\Fusion\Scripts\Utility
macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Blackmagic Design/DaVinci Resolve/Fusion/Scripts/Utility
Restart Resolve, open a project, then choose Workspace > Scripts and click the tool's name.
I click the tool and nothing happens
Most often this is the free version of Resolve, which blocks script windows. Check that you run Studio 19.1 or newer.
Open Workspace > Console in Resolve and run the tool again. If you see a red error line, copy it into your support email; it tells us exactly what failed.
Make sure a project and a timeline are open before you start the tool.
How do I download a tool again or get an update?
Open My purchases on this site and sign in with the email you used at checkout. You get a one-time code by email, no password. All your tools, receipts and updates are there.
I paid but did not get an email
Check spam and promotions folders for a message from Polar. The receipt and download link are sent the minute payment clears.
You can always get the files from My purchases: sign in with the same email you entered at checkout.
Still nothing after 15 minutes? Email us with the address you used and we will sort it out the same day.
Do I need to create an account?
No. Your email address is your account. After buying, sign in to My purchases with that email and a one-time code.
Can I use a tool on more than one computer?
Yes, on all computers you personally use, for example an edit suite and a laptop, on Windows and macOS. Studios with several editors should buy one copy per editor.
How do I pay, and do you charge VAT?
Checkout runs on Polar, our merchant of record. You can pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Polar adds VAT or sales tax where the law requires it and sends a proper invoice.
I need an invoice with my company details
Enter your business name and VAT number at checkout. You can download the invoice again later from My purchases.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. If a tool does not work for you within 14 days of purchase, email us with your order email and we refund it in full. We may ask one or two questions first, because many problems are a quick fix.
Are updates free?
Fixes and improvements to the version you bought are free and appear in My purchases. We will email you when an update matters.
Does it work on macOS and Apple Silicon?
Yes. The tools are Lua scripts that run inside Resolve, so the same file works on Windows, Intel Macs and Apple Silicon. Video Difference Marker also uses FFmpeg; its page explains the one-time setup.
Video Difference Marker says FFmpeg is missing
Windows: install FFmpeg once with: winget install Gyan.FFmpeg
macOS: install Homebrew, then run: brew install ffmpeg
Restart Resolve afterwards so the tool can find the new programs.
Text Toolkit says my SRT does not match the clips
SRT Replacer matches by time. Use an SRT that was exported from the same edit (for example with Subtitle Creator), and run Dry Run first to see the match count.
If your timeline does not start at 01:00:00:00 or 00:00:00:00, the tool detects the offset; check the mode it reports in the log.
Can I undo what a tool did?
Most changes can be undone with Ctrl+Z / Cmd+Z in Resolve. For big batch jobs, save a copy of the project first; the tools always show a preview or dry run before they change anything.
Still stuck? Write to us.
A real editor answers, usually within one working day. Include your Resolve version and any red error text from Workspace > Console.
