Timeline Renamer

Duplicate or rename many Resolve timelines at once with find and replace.

Select timelines, find part of the name and replace it with one or more values. Make v2, client review, social and final copies in one click, or rename in place.

What it does for you

  • Find and replace in the names of many timelines at once.
  • Duplicate mode makes one copy per entry: v2, Client Review, 9x16, Final.
  • Preview every new name before anything changes.

Requirements

  • DaVinci Resolve Studio 19.1 or newer (the free version of Resolve blocks script windows).
  • Windows 10/11 and macOS 12+ (Apple Silicon and Intel). One file works on both.
  • Install: copy the .lua file into Resolve's Scripts/Utility folder, then open it from Workspace > Scripts.
  • Tested in DaVinci Resolve Studio 21 on Windows 11. The script also runs on macOS (Intel and Apple Silicon); if anything does not work on your Mac, email support and you get a fix or a refund.

Important notes
