SRT Replacer
Swap your captions to another language from an SRT, keeping style and timing.
Choose a translated SRT file. SRT Replacer matches every subtitle to the Text+ clip it belongs to and replaces only the text, with optional line wrapping, so the style, animation and timing stay exactly as they were.
What it does for you
- A German, Spanish or Japanese version without retyping a caption.
- Style, animation and timing stay as they are; only the words change.
- Dry Run shows exactly how many clips will change first.
Requirements
- DaVinci Resolve Studio 19.1 or newer (the free version of Resolve blocks script windows).
- Windows 10/11 and macOS 12+ (Apple Silicon and Intel). One file works on both.
- Install: copy the .lua file into Resolve's Scripts/Utility folder, then open it from Workspace > Scripts.
- Tested in DaVinci Resolve Studio 21 on Windows 11. The script also runs on macOS (Intel and Apple Silicon); if anything does not work on your Mac, email support and you get a fix or a refund.

Important notes
-
If an English SRT sits next to the translated file, it is used to match lines even more reliably.
